Frequently Asked Questions
How much will it cost?
That depends. Do you want a Mercedes or a Volkswagen? To find out, we recommend calling us for a meeting. We’ll sit down with you at your location, go over your needs with you and follow-up with a quote. And we’ll do our best to work within your budget. There is no cost for the preliminary meeting and quote.
What do I need to prepare for our meeting?
Make some notes about what you’d like to include. If it’s a kitchen, do you want pull-out drawers, drawer dividers, pantry, etc. If it’s a bathroom, do you want a freestanding sink? If you know the look you’re going after, find some pictures to show us. Gather up as much detail as you can. But what you can’t think of, we will. With over 40 years of experience in the trade, we’ve seen and done it all. We have lots to share and are happy to do so.
What is the lead time?
That depends on our schedule at the time. It could be a couple of weeks or a couple of months or longer. Please ask.
How do I care for my cabinets?
Whether your cabinets are stained or painted, we recommend wiping down your cabinets with a cloth and water every 2-3 days. 409 or something equivalent works well on painted surfaces. Murphy’s Oil Soap is good on stained wood. After cleaning use a polish such as Liquid Gold on stained cabinets just as you would with fine furniture. For nicks and scratches, we recommend Zenith Tibet Almond Stick to conceal any slight, white scratch in the topcoat. To repair a deep scratch, use Fil-Stick. To repair a scratch that exposes bare wood, use stain and top coat.
What kind of wood is available?
Cherry, Quarter-sawn Oak, White Oak, Red Oak, Maple, Mahogany, Walnut, Knotty Pine and more. We’ve even done work with exotic woods.
What about doors?
We will provide you with a catalog of door samples to choose from.
Do you provide a warranty?
We are so confident about the quality of our work, that we warranty our cabinets for a full five years.
